For those members who were unable to attend the AGM here are a few points and reminders to note for the new season which opens on 1st April 2012.

  • All salmon caught before June 16th must be returned.
  • The season will run until September 30th for Brown Trout and October 17th for Salmon.
  • The last 10 days of the season from 7th to 17th October are CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY.
  • Also, no worm fishing is permitted from the 7th October onwards.
  • With the ongoing pressure on sewin stocks we are asking anglers to observe a voluntary policy of returning all fish below 12″ in length, and from 31st August release all sewin in order to increase the potential breeding stock for the subsequent close season.
  • Would all members also please note that there is now an increased frequency of trains to Fishguard. Some 6 trains a day so we are asking members to be vigilant when crossing the railway line in Treffgarne Gorge. Members are asked to update themeselves with the revised times as per Arriva Trains website.
  • A reminder goes out to all anglers to respect the land-owners property on the fishing that we lease. Please ensure all gates are closed and remember to take home any refuse with you.
  • Finally – if you have any fisherman’s tales, interesting catch reports or any news that you think may be of interest to our website visitors (both locally and from around the world!) please feel free to contact us. You can send details, pictures and even videos to [email protected]. All contributions are very welcome.

Tight lines for 2012!
