Steve Esmond caught his first sewin of the season recently. It weighed in at about 1 1/2 lb. Keith John also had a fish of about the same size below the Junction pool in Wolfscastle, so the first run of fish are well spread out after the recent rain. Adrian Batty has had 3 sewin up to 3lb below Treffgarne Bridge. A few have been sighted jumping in the night, so hopefully when the nights warm up there will be more coming to the net. Huge Brownie Landed!

Steve Esmond has landed a huge brown trout of 4lb 2oz. It was caught on a small repala in the Ruins Pool on the Western Cleddau. Steve reports it is his personal record for a brownie! Late Season Catch Reports

There seems to be a good head of fish up the whole Western Cleddau, with a lot up the top beats; the Gorgon Pool has salmon and sewin in it. Below Treffgarne Bridge has been kind to the fly fishers at night, with John Codd landing 11 fish in as many trips out up to 2 1/2 lb.
