The PAA recently held their 70th AGM .
It was well attended by members and guests .
The meeting was opened by the club President Nigel Mayhew and he welcomed everyone .
A minutes silence was held in memory of Billy Griffiths and John Edwards .
The Chairman thanked all the loyal members for their continued support because without them we would not have a club to run .
He thanked the committee who control the day to day decisions for the club . He also thanked Gary and Heidi from County Sports in Haverfordwest who not only sell our permits but also give expert advice on tackle and fishing techniques , he added that we should also support these local businesses and not buy online , if we don’t support them then we will lose them and the towns will only get worse .
Rick Cooper gave a few words on what the ” Cleddau Project ” are doing to help clean up the rivers and help prosecute the polluters . Steve Evans from Foxhill Trout fishery thanked the PAA and it’s members for supporting his new venture into owning a trout lake .Roger Pratt from PFAC thanked the PAA for supporting his fishing coaching events .
The President awarded trophies to the winners of last years fishing competition at Llys-Y-Fran reservoir .
Toby Schwierzi Winning the Medina cup.
Arran Jones winning the Munt Shield .
Iestyn Jones winning the junior shield (collected by his Dad Craig )
When the meeting ended the sandwiches were brought out and the raffle was held ( I didn’t win again , one day perhaps I will )
Then the ever popular auction was help , selling off donated tackle to the highest bidder , every one grabbed a bargain and one luck member bagged a Bruce and Walker fly rod for only £40.
All in all a great evening with a catch up , the ones that got away stories and a couple of drinks.
